My present works are in acrylics, with some mixed media of pens and inks. I am inspired by nature and the ebb and flow of life through organic patterns such as rocks, branches, water, floral forms. I love the movement, and flow of energy connecting or isolating objects through changes in color and pattern, shadows/light, warmth/coolness.

When I allow my subconscious into the painting process, I reconnect to nature in its intimacy and expansiveness, longings and limitations. Often, I find myself in a kind of dream state as I coax shapes and forms out of material. My work is generally abstracted, filtered through my experiences and memories but I often surprise myself by discovering new structures, new relationships. Painting for me is both a process of discovery and healing.
